Position Overview
VKB Group’s Information & Technology Division is seeking a highly analytical and experienced System Analyst to join its Support Services team based at the Head Office in Reitz, Free State. This hybrid/remote position is ideal for a results-driven professional with a deep understanding of business processes, software design, and systems implementation within complex organizational environments.
The System Analyst will play a pivotal role in designing, analyzing, and implementing efficient IT and operational systems to support VKB’s strategic goals. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technology and business performance.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in the planning, analysis, and design of new applications and enhancements to existing systems.

Collaborate with decision-makers, system owners, and end-users to define business requirements, system goals, and identify improvement areas.

Ensure compatibility and interoperability between in-house and third-party systems.

Evaluate the efficiency and performance of existing IT systems, developing strategies to enhance their effectiveness.

Conduct in-depth testing and end-user reviews for newly developed or modified systems.
-
Prepare and maintain system documentation, including models, diagrams, and specifications.

Provide user training and orientation for new or upgraded systems.

Conduct root cause analysis for system issues and ensure sustainable resolutions.

Handle financial reconciliations and data enquiries accurately and efficiently.

Perform ongoing system support and maintenance in line with business requirements.

Research hardware and software products to recommend cost-effective technology solutions.
Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or Accounting.

At least 5 years of relevant work experience in systems analysis, implementation, or software support.

Proven experience in software and hardware solution design and deployment.

Advanced knowledge of core ERP systems such as Microsoft NAV & Business Central (BC).

Strong understanding of business processes and accounting principles.

Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.

Experience working in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

High proficiency in conducting system research, testing, and documentation.

Ability to work independently and under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
