Position Overview
VKB Financing is seeking a motivated and analytical Relationship Manager based in Ermelo, Mpumalanga. This role focuses on building and maintaining long-term financial relationships with clients in the agricultural sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating credit applications, managing client portfolios, and developing sustainable financing solutions that empower farmers and agribusinesses.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with agricultural clients and partners

Conduct in-depth financial and credit analyses, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and ratios

Prepare and present comprehensive credit proposals to management and credit committees

Evaluate loan structures, securities, and repayment capacities to mitigate risk

Monitor and manage client portfolios, including arrears, excesses, and documentation compliance
-
Ensure adherence to FAIS, FICA, NCA, and other regulatory frameworks
-
Develop tailored financial solutions aligned with the client’s operational and seasonal requirements

Act as a liaison between farmers and the VKB Group to ensure mutual success

Provide professional customer service and maintain client trust through transparency and accountability
Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Agricultural Economics, Business Management, Banking, or Accounting
-
Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in credit or relationship management within an agricultural or financial institution

RE5 Certification and FAIS compliance required

Proven ability to analyze credit risk, structure financial solutions, and manage client relationships

Proficiency in Excel, credit management systems, and CRM platforms

Knowledge of agricultural finance, seasonal production cycles, and commodity markets
