The Sales Coordinator is responsible for driving sales through customer engagement, managing quotations, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining store standards.

Key Responsibilities of a Sales Coordinator
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Issue and follow up on customer quotations to generate sales
- Read and interpret building plans for accurate costing (advantageous)
- Manage inbound and outbound customer communication (calls, follow-ups)
- Promote store loyalty programs and credit offerings
- Conduct competitor analysis to maintain competitive pricing
- Ensure all customer interactions are professional and effective
Deliveries & Logistics Coordination
- Manage and oversee delivery services efficiently
- Ensure deliveries are dispatched within required timeframes
- Communicate any delays with customers and arrange solutions
- Ensure correct delivery rates are applied
Customer Service Management
- Oversee the customer service desk operations
- Handle and resolve customer complaints promptly
- Ensure all customers are attended to efficiently

Store Standards & Merchandising
- Ensure implementation of store checklists and operational processes

- Implement planograms and maintain merchandising standards

People Management & Supervision
- Supervise General Assistants, Sales Advisors, and Forklift Drivers
- Ensure staff availability and productivity in assigned areas
- Provide guidance and support to team members
- Ensure all team members follow daily operational procedures
Health & Safety (OHSA Compliance)
- Ensure all safety regulations are followed in the store
- Enforce use of protective equipment where required
- Maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers
Security Awareness
- Monitor and report suspicious activities in and around the store
- Ensure password security and adherence to company protocols
Minimum Requirements – Sales Coordinator
To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following:
Education & Experience:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Minimum 5 years related experience
OR - Minimum 10 years overall work experience
Additional Requirements:
- Strong numeric and analytical skills
- Computer literacy (essential)
- Strong planning, organising, and delegation abilities
- Excellent communication skills (English and local language)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Plan reading experience (advantageous)
