About TWK Agri — Financial Services Division

TWK Agri is one of South Africa’s most respected and established agri-business groups — operating across multiple divisions including grain, livestock, hardware, insurance, manufactured timber products, and financial services. With deep roots in the Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal agricultural regions, TWK Agri is known for offering employees stable, long-term career opportunities within a company that values integrity, accountability, and professional growth.

The Financial Services Division provides credit, debtors management, and financial administration services to TWK Agri’s agricultural client base — farmers, agri-businesses, and rural enterprises across the region. The Credit Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring sound credit risk management, healthy cash flow, and professional client service delivery across the debtors portfolio.

About the Role — What Will You Do?

As Credit Administrator at TWK Agri Piet Retief, you will analyse credit applications, manage debtor accounts, and ensure effective credit control and collections — supporting sound credit risk management, maintaining accurate financial records, contributing to healthy cash flow, and delivering professional client service while supporting team performance.

Credit Application Analysis & Evaluation

You will analyse credit applications — including financial statements and cash flow information — evaluating and recommending appropriate credit limits and terms of sale for new and existing clients. Sound credit analysis is the foundation of this role and requires strong financial literacy, attention to detail, and good commercial judgment.

Credit Risk Monitoring & Escalation

You will monitor customer credit exposure across the debtors portfolio — identifying emerging credit risks, escalating potential problem accounts to management timeously, and taking proactive steps to mitigate the risk of bad debt before it crystallises.

Debtors Management & Collections

You will manage debtor accounts and collection processes for overdue accounts — implementing structured follow-up procedures, engaging clients on outstanding balances, negotiating payment arrangements where appropriate, and escalating accounts that require legal or formal collection action.

Debtor Age Analysis & Management Reporting

You will interpret debtor age analysis reports — providing accurate and insightful feedback to management and operational divisions on the status of the debtors book, highlighting trends, risks, and collection progress to support informed business decision-making.

Account Reconciliation, Allocations & Journals

You will perform accurate account reconciliations, allocations, and journal processing — ensuring that all payments, credits, adjustments, and transactions are correctly matched to customer accounts and that the debtors ledger is maintained to a high standard of accuracy at all times.

Credit File Documentation & Compliance

You will maintain complete and accurate documentation within customer credit files — ensuring that all credit applications, agreements, correspondence, and compliance records are properly filed and that credit controls comply with company policies, FICA requirements, and applicable credit legislation.

Query & Discrepancy Resolution

You will resolve account queries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner — engaging with customers and internal stakeholders to investigate and correct billing errors, misallocations, and account disputes promptly.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

You will build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers — conducting customer visits where required to support relationship management, strengthen credit oversight, and mitigate risk at key accounts.

Team Leadership & Development

You will provide leadership, guidance, support, and performance feedback to team members — assisting with training and development within the debtors team and contributing to a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and alignment with TWK Agri’s values.
