A Forklift Driver and Picker/Packer in this FMCG warehouse role is responsible for the safe operation of forklift equipment, accurate order picking and packing, truck loading and offloading assistance, and maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment. Key Duties & Responsibilities

🚜 Forklift Operations & Material Handling

• Operate a counterbalance or reach forklift to safely and efficiently move materials, pallets, and stock throughout the warehouse
• Transport goods between receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch areas in accordance with warehouse procedures
• Conduct pre-operational forklift inspections at the start of each shift and report any defects or faults immediately
• Ensure all forklift operations are performed strictly in accordance with safety regulations and OHSA compliance standards
• Stack, store, and retrieve palletised goods from racking systems safely and accurately

📦 Order Picking & Packing

• Pick customer and distribution orders accurately and efficiently from warehouse racking using pick lists or warehouse management system (WMS) instructions
• Pack orders securely and correctly in accordance with company packing standards and procedures
• Ensure all picked and packed orders are correctly labelled, documented, and match order specifications before dispatch
• Maintain a consistently low error rate in picking and packing activities to prevent order discrepancies and customer complaints
• Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation principles during picking to support inventory accuracy and product freshness

🚛 Loading, Offloading & Dispatch Support

• Assist with the loading and offloading of delivery and collection trucks as required during operational hours
• Verify quantities and condition of goods loaded and offloaded against delivery documentation
• Support the dispatch team with outbound order staging and load preparation activities
• Report any stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or short deliveries to the warehouse supervisor immediately

• Return all equipment, packaging materials, and pallets to designated storage areas after use

• Follow all safety protocols, guidelines, and OHSA regulations to prevent accidents and injuries at all times

• Report all safety hazards, near-misses, accidents, and injuries to the warehouse supervisor immediately
• Participate in safety inductions, toolbox talks, and emergency drills as required
• Never operate forklift equipment without valid certification and proper operational authorisation

Educational Qualifications
