Purpose of the Role
The Online Administrator is responsible for ensuring effective in-store operation of Dis-Chem’s Click & Collect system at Somerset Mall — managing customer orders from receipt through picking, packing, and release, maintaining accurate records, resolving queries, reducing customer wait times, and communicating proactively with management on all online operations matters.
Key Responsibilities – Online Administrator
Click & Collect Order Management
- Manage customer orders end-to-end — ensuring that all Click & Collect orders are received, processed, picked, packed, and ready for collection before the customer arrives at the store.
- Keep accurate records of all Click & Collect orders received, picked, packed, and released to customers — maintaining a complete, audit-ready log of all online order fulfilment activity.
- Stay up to date with all email and system queries — monitoring the online orders inbox and system notifications and acting on all outstanding queries without delay.
Picking, Packing & Quality Control
- Correctly pick and pack parcels — selecting the correct products, quantities, and variants for each order to avoid customer discrepancies and returns.
- Apply attention to detail throughout the picking and packing process — ensuring every order is complete, correctly packaged, and accurately labelled before release.
- Identify opportunities to reduce customer wait times during the picking process — proposing and implementing improvements to picking efficiency at the Somerset Mall store.
