Wilderness is seeking a highly skilled Guest Experience Liaison to elevate guest journeys from ordinary to extraordinary. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate and meet guests’ needs throughout their stay. This role requires proactive engagement, problem-solving, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain seamless service delivery through ongoing communication with guests during their stay.

  • Provide high-level attention to guest needs, focusing on creating a personalised and memorable experience.

  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth service delivery and operational efficiency.

  • Handle guest queries promptly, efficiently, and professionally, ensuring resolution and satisfaction.

  • Operate in compliance with Wilderness standards, company policies, and code of conduct.

  • Deliver personalised guest touch-points to add value and strengthen relationships with trade partners.

  • Attend training sessions and site inspections to gain extensive knowledge of regions and products.

  • Analyse guest feedback to identify areas for improvement and enhance future guest satisfaction.


Candidate Profile

Qualifications

  • Matric certificate with Mathematics.

  • Tertiary qualification in Travel & Tourism or Hospitality.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience at a senior level in reservations, guest relations, or camp operations.

  • Experience managing customer relationships and promoting travel products and services, preferably in inbound travel.

  • Previous camp experience is advantageous.

  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, email, internet).

  • Working knowledge of TourPlan or similar booking/operating system.

  • General destination knowledge of Southern and East Africa.

  • Personal and professional travel experience in the region is beneficial.

Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication in English; foreign language skills are advantageous.

  • Strong multitasking and time-management capabilities.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.

  • Outgoing, charismatic, approachable, and customer-focused.

  • Passion for wildlife, sustainability, and conservation.
