Purpose of the Role

Key Responsibilities

The Floor Advisor will be responsible for ordering stock in line with branch requirements and ensuring product availability on the sales floor. Effective merchandising practices must be implemented to maintain attractive product displays and maximise sales opportunities.

Monthly stock control checks, including stock counting, are required to ensure accurate inventory management. Maintaining stock integrity and identifying discrepancies are part of the operational expectations of this role.

Customer service is a core function of the position. The Floor Advisor will assist clients in-store by providing product recommendations, answering queries, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Strong product knowledge of input products and veterinary medicine is required to support informed purchasing decisions.

Sorting and storage of goods is required to maintain organised stockrooms and ensure easy access to inventory. The candidate must ensure that goods are handled and stored correctly to prevent damage or loss.

The role requires willingness to work overtime when operationally required. Flexibility and commitment to branch performance are essential.

Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 qualification is required.

Computer literacy is required to support retail sales systems and stock control processes.

Valid Driver’s License (Code 08) is required.

Strong product knowledge of input products and veterinary medicine is essential for effective customer advisory services.

Basic understanding of merchandising and retail sales principles is required.
