Warehouse Operations Leadership and Inventory Management Role

Voltex (Pty) Ltd is recruiting a Warehouse Manager for its Bloemfontein branch. This full-time leadership role reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible for ensuring all warehouse and stores operations run efficiently while meeting operational objectives and maintaining safety, security, and stock accuracy.

The Warehouse Manager plays a vital role in supervising warehouse teams, managing inventory processes, and optimising workflows to support seamless goods receiving, storage, and dispatch operations. About the Role

The primary purpose of the Warehouse Manager role is to oversee daily warehouse activities, ensuring processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with business requirements. The role involves managing staff, monitoring stock movement, and maintaining a secure and organised warehouse environment.

The successful candidate will coordinate operational planning, enforce safety and security standards, and support accurate inventory management. Strong organisational ability and effective leadership are essential to ensure the warehouse operates productively while delivering excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.

Team Leadership and Workforce Management

The Warehouse Manager must recruit, train, schedule, motivate, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure productivity and operational efficiency.

Warehouse Operations and Workflow Optimisation

Supplier vehicle off-loading must be monitored to ensure proper handling and control within receiving areas.

Equipment such as forklifts and trucks must be managed, with maintenance schedules adhered to for operational reliability.

Received products must be packaged according to Voltex specifications to maintain quality and compliance.

Inventory Control and Stock Management

Stock levels must be monitored daily, including cycle counter stock items, to ensure accurate inventory control.

The Warehouse Manager must verify that correct items and quantities are pulled and loaded for dispatch.

Packaging and product quality must be checked before dispatch to maintain customer satisfaction.

Stock taking activities must be supported to ensure accurate records and operational planning.

Accurate documentation and transaction records must be maintained to support accountability and traceability.

Security, Safety and Compliance

Strict safety, security, and hygiene standards must be implemented and enforced throughout the warehouse.

Measures must be in place to prevent unauthorised removal of products and restrict access to authorised personnel only.

The warehouse and stock must be kept secure at all times to safeguard company assets.

Safety standards, including protective clothing requirements, must be adhered to during warehouse operations.

Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment contributes to safe and efficient operations.

Administrative Responsibilities

The Warehouse Manager must conduct general administrative duties related to warehouse operations.

Qualifications and Experience

Matric or equivalent qualification is required.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a stores or warehouse environment is advantageous.
