Pick n Pay Clothing Online is recruiting for a Product Administrator Online based in Kenilworth, Cape Town. This is a full-time, onsite position offered on a 9-month fixed-term contract as maternity cover within the eCommerce division.

This exciting opportunity forms part of a dynamic digital team responsible for maintaining and optimising the online product catalogue. The Product Administrator ensures that product information is accurate, commercially aligned, and positioned to drive online sales while enhancing the overall customer experience.

About the Role

The Product Administrator plays a key role in ensuring the integrity and performance of the online product catalogue. The position supports digital merchandising initiatives and ensures that all product data across the online platform remains accurate, up to date, and commercially effective.

The successful candidate will work closely with marketing and merchandising teams to align online product presentation with campaigns, seasonal trends, and sales objectives. The role also requires daily monitoring of website performance, product categorisation, pricing accuracy, and promotional execution.

Online Catalogue and Product Management

The Product Administrator is responsible for maintaining and updating the online product catalogue accurately and timeously.

Product descriptions, specifications, digital assets, and categorisations must be managed and optimised to ensure a seamless customer shopping experience.

Daily website audits must be conducted to ensure data accuracy, correct product placement, and overall site housekeeping.

Product enrichment processes must be supported, including coordinating product photography and ensuring digital assets are uploaded correctly.

Participation in site testing and system updates is required where necessary to ensure platform functionality and accuracy.

Digital Merchandising and Sales Support

The role supports digital merchandising strategies aligned with marketing and sales goals.

Coordination with the Marketing team is required to support campaigns and seasonal merchandising initiatives.

Markdowns and promotional pricing must be actioned accurately to ensure correct pricing display on the website.

Product and category performance must be analysed regularly to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

The position contributes to driving online sales through accurate product representation and commercial optimisation.

Reporting and Inventory Management

The Product Administrator must generate and analyse daily inventory reports.

Website, product, and category performance metrics must be reviewed to ensure commercial effectiveness.

Data integrity across the platform must be maintained to support reporting accuracy and business decision-making.

The Ecommerce Head of Department must be supported with ad hoc administrative tasks as required.

Minimum Requirements

Matric (Grade 12).

2–3 years’ Clothing Retail experience.

Intermediate computer literacy, including MS Office.

Online administrative or digital retail experience in an eCommerce environment is advantageous.

Knowledge of SAP and BI systems is advantageous.

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with data, digital merchandising tools, and online product management systems in a fast-paced environment.
