Electrical Systems Maintenance Role – ROAS Operations Division
Sasol is recruiting Maintenance Operator Gr 2 Electrical (x2 positions) to join the ROAS division based in Germiston, Gauteng, South Africa. This Maintenance Operator Gr 2 Electrical role supports the maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. The position requires operating electrical devices and systems while accurately and efficiently collecting field data to ensure optimum productivity and equipment reliability.
Purpose of the Role
The Maintenance Operator Gr 2 Electrical is responsible for supporting electrical maintenance activities within the ROAS operational environment. The role contributes to maintaining plant reliability, supporting safety compliance, and ensuring equipment availability through proper inspections and repairs.
The position forms part of Sasol’s operations structure and plays a direct role in supporting plant sustainability, electrical system performance, and operational continuity within the Germiston facility.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires applying and maintaining safety standards within the working environment at all times.
The Maintenance Operator participates in root cause analyses (RCA) and provides feedback to RCA teams to improve plant safety and operational stability.
Work must be carried out according to planning schedules and operational requirements.
Participation in daily morning meetings is required to discuss work assignments and priorities.
The operator must provide adequate feedback to supervisors regarding work progress and task completion.

Engagement in PDAs and RCAs supports improved plant safety and operational stability.
Continuous improvement opportunities must be identified within the operator’s work area.

Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 with Mathematics, English, and Science
or
N3 with Mathematics and Engineering Science
NQF Level 2 Occupational Qualification

1 to 2 years of relevant experience in electrical systems, equipment maintenance, or related operational environments
