About the Role
The Forklift Driver is responsible for handling and moving materials safely and efficiently within the warehouse and stores environment. This role supports the receiving, storage, and issuing of stock to maintain smooth production and distribution processes.
The successful candidate will ensure that received materials are offloaded correctly, packed securely, and stored according to proper stock rotation principles. Accuracy, safety awareness, and operational discipline are essential for this position.
Working in a structured and fast-paced environment, the Forklift Driver contributes directly to maintaining organised storage areas and ensuring that stock is handled in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Forklift Driver is responsible for offloading received materials using a forklift truck in a safe and efficient manner.
All received stock must be packed and positioned correctly within designated storage areas to maintain order and accessibility.
Sorting and stacking of stores is required to ensure secure stock rotation, preventing damage and supporting inventory control practices.
The role includes issuing stock accurately when required, ensuring that materials are delivered to the correct departments or production areas.
The Forklift Driver must operate the forklift truck in line with safety regulations and internal operational procedures.
Maintaining a clean and organised working environment within the stores area is essential to ensure safety and efficiency.
The role requires close collaboration with warehouse teams and supervisors to ensure that stock handling processes are completed correctly and on time.
Warehouse and Operational Environment
This position operates within an onsite warehouse or stores facility. The Forklift Driver will work in an environment where safety, organisation, and precision are critical to daily operations.

Experience Requirements
Candidates must have 1–2 years of experience in a similar forklift or warehouse environment.
Previous exposure to stock handling, warehouse operations, or stores management will be advantageous.
The ability to operate a forklift safely and effectively is essential.
Qualifications
A Matric (Grade 12) qualification is required.
Candidates must demonstrate practical experience in forklift operation and stock management processes.
Skills and Competencies
Strong attention to detail when handling and stacking stock.
Ability to operate a forklift truck safely and responsibly.
Understanding of stock rotation principles and warehouse organisation.
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members.
