Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

• Minimum Grade 10 / ABET Level 4 / equivalent

• Basic numeric literacy

• Good communication skills

• Sound human relations and interpersonal skills

• Ability to perform routine duties and maintain effective working relationships

• Ability to liaise with stakeholders

• Ability to work under pressure and function effectively within a team

Applicants must also:

• Be prepared to rotate to other departments within the institution

• Be willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night duty

• Be physically fit and willing to perform physical labour

• Comply with legal requirements, including wearing protective clothing at all times

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for general cleaning and hygiene services, including but not limited to:

• Mopping floors and cleaning doors, windows, toilets, bed frames, and steps

• Stripping and polishing floors

• Cleaning fridges and maintaining hygiene standards

• Dusting furniture and window sills

• Operating cleaning equipment such as polisher machines

• Using the correct cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines

• Assisting with additional duties as instructed by the supervisor

Attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and consistency in cleanliness are essential in this role.
