Fidelity Services Group is recruiting an experienced, commercially astute, and results-driven Senior Finance Manager to join SecureDrive, a business unit within Fidelity ADT, on a permanent basis in Midrand, Gauteng. This mid-to-senior level opportunity is ideally suited to a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong operational and strategic finance experience, particularly within technology-driven, security, or telematics-related environments.
Reporting directly to the CFO – Finance, this role is designed to provide high-level financial support to operations and functional heads across the business. The successful candidate will act as a trusted finance partner, supporting decision-making, driving business improvement initiatives, and ensuring financial discipline while continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, cost control, and operational effectiveness.
This role is suited to a finance leader who combines strong technical capability with business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence senior non-finance stakeholders.
About the Role
The Senior Finance Manager is accountable for providing comprehensive financial leadership and support to assigned functional and operational heads. The role focuses on financial planning, performance analysis, cost management, and the successful integration of systems, processes, and new product lines into the business.
This position requires close collaboration with senior leadership to support project implementation, investment analysis, and operational decision-making. The role holder must be able to analyse large volumes of financial data, extract key insights, and translate them into actionable recommendations that support sustainable business growth.
The role operates within a deadline-driven environment and requires a hands-on finance leader who is comfortable managing both strategic initiatives and day-to-day financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Finance Support and Business Partnering
The successful candidate will act as a key finance partner to operational and functional heads, providing financial insight, guidance, and support across a wide range of initiatives. This includes supporting business planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling to guide strategic decision-making.
The role involves forming close working relationships with senior non-finance stakeholders, communicating complex financial information clearly, and influencing decisions where necessary to support business objectives.
Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Performance Analysis
The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing budget planning, cost management, and variance reporting across the business. This includes developing detailed budgets, monitoring actual performance against forecasts, and identifying areas of risk or opportunity.
The role requires significant exposure to cost analysis, variance reporting, and financial modelling, with the ability to quickly analyse large data sets and highlight matters of financial significance.
Cost Reduction and Efficiency Initiatives
A key responsibility of the role is leading and supporting cost reduction and efficiency projects across the business. This includes identifying inefficiencies, developing business cases for improvement initiatives, and tracking the financial impact of implemented changes.
Demonstrable experience in delivering successful cost-saving initiatives and operational improvements is critical for success in this role.
Systems, SAP, and Process Integration
The role involves active involvement in system planning, implementation, and optimisation initiatives. Strong exposure to SAP Finance and Management Accounting modules is essential, as the Senior Finance Manager will support the effective use of systems to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making.
The role also includes managing relationships with external software providers and ensuring that systems are deployed effectively into the core business.
Operational Oversight and Process Standardisation
The Senior Finance Manager will support the review and standardisation of business processes across the organisation. This includes reviewing warehouse processes, supporting the implementation of a national warehouse management tool, and aligning pricing, reporting, and management processes nationally.
The role also includes oversight of national debit order collections processes and managing financial controls related to client numbers and associated cost management.
People Management and Leadership
The role includes direct management of a finance team of approximately 10 to 20 staff members. Responsibilities include setting performance objectives, monitoring output, developing staff capability, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Strong people management skills are essential, as the role requires balancing performance delivery with staff development.
Minimum Requirements
