Hospitality Support Opportunity at Empact Group – Food Solutions Division
Empact Group is recruiting a dedicated and service-driven Food Service Assistant to join its Food Solutions Division on a permanent basis in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This opportunity is open to Employment Equity (EE) candidates only and is well suited to individuals with prior hospitality experience who are passionate about food service, hygiene standards, and customer satisfaction.
The role focuses on supporting daily food production, front-of-house services, and ensuring strict compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations within a professional catering environment.
About the Role
The Food Service Assistant plays an essential role in supporting kitchen and service operations. This includes assisting with food preparation, providing front-of-house support, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across all service areas.

Key Responsibilities
Food Production Support
The successful candidate will assist with a variety of food production tasks, supporting kitchen staff to ensure meals are prepared efficiently, safely, and in line with quality standards.
Front-of-House and General Support
Responsibilities include assisting with front-of-house services where required, supporting service flow, and ensuring a welcoming environment for customers and clients.
Health, Safety, and Hygiene Compliance
The role requires strict adherence to all Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations, including maintaining personal hygiene standards and ensuring work areas are clean and compliant at all times.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates applying for this role must meet the following requirements:

Matric (Grade 12) – essential

Working experience in the hospitality industry – essential

Willingness to perform both front- and back-of-house duties

Ability to comply with health, safety, and food hygiene standards
Advantageous Qualifications and Experience
