This mid-senior management opportunity is ideal for an experienced retail leader with a strong passion for sales, tools, machinery, and branch operations.
The role carries full accountability for branch performance, including sales growth, staff leadership, stock control, customer satisfaction, and the effective execution of retail branch procedures.
About the Role
The Retail Branch Manager is responsible for the overall success of the Silverlakes branch. This includes developing and executing sales strategies, managing staff and inventory, controlling costs, and ensuring a high standard of customer service. The role requires a confident leader who can balance operational excellence with strong commercial focus in a fast-paced retail environment.
This position is well suited to a manager with previous exposure in automotive, engineering, tools and machinery, or hardware retail, combined with solid experience in retail branch management.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Financial Performance
The successful candidate will develop and implement sales strategies to achieve financial targets. This includes analysing sales reports, monitoring market trends, forecasting future needs, and identifying opportunities for growth within the branch.
Branch and Employee Management
The role requires full management of branch staff, including leadership, motivation, performance management, and ensuring that employees operate effectively as a cohesive team. Creating a positive, productive retail environment is a key responsibility.
Stock Control and Inventory Management
Responsibilities include overseeing stock control processes, monitoring inventory levels, minimising losses, and ensuring the availability of products aligned with customer demand and sales forecasts.
Customer Service Excellence
Ensuring a high standard of customer service is central to the role. The Branch Manager must ensure that customers receive professional advice, quality service, and a consistent in-store experience that supports repeat business and long-term growth.
Administrative and Operational Oversight

Minimum Requirements

Senior Certificate (Matric) – minimum requirement
