About the Role

The Intermediate Social Media Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day execution, publishing, optimisation, and performance tracking of social media content across multiple client accounts. This is a hands-on role requiring strong platform knowledge, excellent organisation, and the ability to manage workload without compromising quality.

The role focuses on accurate execution, scheduling, coordination, and reporting, ensuring content aligns with brand tone, objectives, and platform best practices.


Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management and Execution

The successful candidate will manage social media accounts across Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, and TikTok where applicable. Responsibilities include executing approved content strategies accurately, ensuring platform-specific best practices are followed, and maintaining consistent brand alignment.

Managing multiple client accounts simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards is a core requirement.


Meta Business Portfolio Management (Essential)

The role requires confident, hands-on use of Meta Business Portfolio, including scheduling and publishing posts, managing page access and permissions, and monitoring performance through Meta Insights. The Social Media Manager will identify trends, risks, and opportunities and flag these to the Brand Manager.


Content Scheduling and Publishing Tools

The candidate will schedule and manage content using Hootsuite or similar tools, ensuring correct formatting, tagging, hashtags, and links. Accuracy is critical, with zero tolerance for posting errors. Scheduled content must be cross-checked against approved content calendars.


Planning and Team Coordination

The role includes assisting with monthly content calendar creation and coordinating closely with designers and copywriters to meet deadlines. Managing approvals, version control, and workflow alignment is an essential part of this responsibility.


Community Management

Where required, the Social Media Manager will monitor comments and direct messages, engaging with audiences or escalating queries according to established brand guidelines.


Reporting and Performance Tracking

The role supports monthly social media reporting, tracking metrics such as reach, engagement, clicks, and follower growth. Insights gathered are used to optimise content performance and refine future execution.


Minimum Requirements

Candidates applying for this position must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years’ professional experience managing social media accounts

  • Proven hands-on experience with Meta Business Portfolio

  • Experience using Hootsuite or similar scheduling tools

  • Strong understanding of Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn dynamics

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • Strong written English skills with high attention to detail


Preferred and Advantageous Experience

  • Previous agency experience

  • Exposure to TikTok content management
