Safair Operations, trading as FlySafair, is recruiting a professional and safety-driven Flight Attendant to be based at King Shaka International Airport (Durban) on a permanent basis. This role is ideal for a qualified and customer-focused cabin crew professional who is passionate about aviation safety and delivering an exceptional passenger experience.
Reporting to the Cabin Services Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in upholding FlySafair’s high standards of safety, service, and professionalism onboard every flight.
About the Role
The Flight Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of passengers throughout the flight experience. The role requires strict compliance with aviation safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures, while consistently delivering friendly, professional, and attentive service.
This position demands flexibility, as cabin crew must be willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and variable flight schedules, including early morning sign-ons and late evening sign-offs.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Compliance and Procedures
The successful candidate will continuously ensure compliance with all applicable safety policies, procedures, and aviation regulations. Safety remains the primary responsibility at all times, including the ability to operate effectively under high-pressure or emergency conditions.
Passenger Experience and Service Excellence
The role involves ensuring the efficient execution of all onboard activities that contribute to a positive passenger experience. This includes clear communication, attentive service, and maintaining a calm and professional presence throughout the flight.
Professional Conduct and Integrity
Flight Attendants are required to consistently promote a high level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all interactions with passengers, crew, and stakeholders.
Administrative and Regulatory Compliance
The role requires maintaining a high standard of administrative compliance, including accurate documentation and adherence to operational and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification

Valid SACAA Cabin Crew License

Valid Avmed DD50 Medical Certificate

Valid Dangerous Goods Certificate

Valid Ditching Certificate

Valid Fire Fighting Certificate

Valid South African Driver’s License

Level 4 English language proficiency

Medically fit and able to swim

Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
Experience and Professional Background
