About the Role
The Warehouse Operator: Bulk plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient handling of inbound stock. This includes offloading products, recording stock age, ensuring correct storage, replenishing pick lines, and implementing stock rotation to maintain inventory freshness.
The role also carries responsibility for equipment inspection and adherence to safety standards, ensuring smooth warehouse operations and product quality at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Product Handling and Offloading
The successful candidate will be responsible for offloading all inbound products from delivery vehicles and ensuring goods are handled safely and efficiently during receiving.
Stock Recording and Inventory Control
You will record the age of all received stock to ensure accurate inventory management and report any non-compliance. Generating and applying product labels to incoming pallets is a key responsibility.
Product Quality and Storage Management
The role includes inspecting products for correct quality and packaging, ensuring inbound goods are stored correctly in designated storage locations, and maintaining organised bulk storage areas.
Pick Line Replenishment and Stock Rotation
The Warehouse Operator will replenish pick lines to support uninterrupted order fulfilment and implement proper stock rotation practices to prevent product expiration or obsolescence.
Equipment Inspection and Safety Compliance
You will inspect warehouse equipment to ensure it is functioning correctly and report any issues. Strict adherence to safety guidelines and correct use of PPE is mandatory to maintain a safe working environment.
Communication and Team Contribution
Any product or packaging concerns, such as damage or incorrect labelling, must be communicated promptly to the Controller. The role requires active participation in team efforts and contributing to overall operational goals.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates applying for this position must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent qualification

Minimum 1โ3 yearsโ experience in a similar warehouse role (FMCG retail experience preferred)

Valid Electric Pallet Jack License

Valid Forklift License
Experience and Professional Background
This role is suited to candidates with hands-on experience in bulk warehouse operations, inbound receiving, stock rotation, and inventory control. Experience working in frozen or FMCG environments will be advantageous.
