The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for Cleaner positions available at provincial offices across South Africa. Successful applicants will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within DPCI facilities.


Salary

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a South African citizen

  • Proficient in at least two official languages, one of which must be English

  • No previous criminal convictions or pending cases

  • Willing to undergo security vetting and fingerprint verification

  • Grade 10 qualification will be an advantage

  • Basic literacy, numeracy and communication skills

  • Ability to read and write

  • Ability to operate elementary cleaning machines and equipment

  • Willingness to work extended hours when required


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain a high standard of hygiene in and around the workplace

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in offices and surrounding areas

  • Dusting and polishing furniture and floors

  • Removing refuse and waste materials

  • Mopping tiled floors and vacuuming carpets

  • Cleaning bathrooms and kitchen areas

  • Safekeeping and handling of cleaning materials and equipment

  • Loading and unloading goods when required

  • Garden maintenance duties where applicable

  • Washing and cleaning state vehicles

  • Cleaning kitchenware and utensils
