About the Role
As a Courier at Ampath, you will be responsible for transporting medical specimens, documentation, and parcels between laboratories, healthcare facilities, and clients using a vehicle or motorbike. Your role directly supports diagnostic turnaround times and patient care outcomes by ensuring specimens and reports reach their destinations safely and on time.
You will operate within a high-performance culture where attention to detail, accountability, and professionalism are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Specimen and Parcel Transportation
The successful candidate will ensure the safe, secure, and efficient transport of medical specimens, reports, and parcels in accordance with standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
Route Management and Timely Delivery
You will manage assigned routes responsibly, ensuring punctual collections and deliveries while maintaining specimen integrity at all times.
Professional Client Interaction
The role requires professional interaction with healthcare staff and clients, representing Ampath with integrity, reliability, and courtesy.
Operational Accuracy and Care
You will ensure accurate handling of documentation and parcels, supporting traceability and compliance with healthcare standards.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 qualification

Valid South African driver’s licence Code B and Code A

Minimum of 1 year general driving experience
