About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Specimen Collection and Patient Care

The successful candidate will collect blood and other specimens according to standard operating procedures, ensuring correct patient identification, safety, and comfort at all times.


Accurate Documentation and Compliance

You will ensure accurate completion of all documentation and patient records, supporting efficient laboratory processing and compliance with healthcare regulations.


Operational Support and Payments

The role includes handling patient payments responsibly and contributing to smooth administrative processes within the branch.


Professional Representation

As a frontline healthcare professional, you will represent Ampath with integrity, empathy, and professionalism, building trust with patients and colleagues alike.


Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Recognised qualification in Phlebotomy or Nursing

  • Current registration with HPCSA or SANC

  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately in English

  • Basic computer literacy for patient data management
