About the Role

The Messenger position focuses on providing driver, messenger, and clerical support services within the Masterโ€™s Office of the Western Cape High Court. Key Responsibilities

Driver and Messenger Support Services

  • Render driver and messenger support services to the office

  • Collect and distribute correspondence, mail, and parcels to various offices

  • Collect and deliver official documents to and from relevant government institutions

  • Transport officials to various destinations as required

  • Ensure documents and parcels are handled securely and delivered timeously


Clerical and Office Support

  • Render basic clerical support services when required

  • Assist with filing, document handling, and general office duties

  • Support daily administrative operations to ensure workflow efficiency

  • Maintain professionalism when dealing with officials, stakeholders, and members of the public


Operational Compliance and Professional Conduct

  • Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and service standards

  • Maintain confidentiality of official documents and information

  • Ensure responsible use of government vehicles and resources

  • Uphold ethical conduct and professionalism at all times


Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 10 or ABET Level 4 qualification

  • Valid driverโ€™s licence

  • Ability to work effectively in a structured public service environment
