Adendorff Machinery Mart is expanding with the opening of its new branch in Louis Trichardt, Limpopo, and is currently seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor – Tools and Machinery to join its team on a permanent basis.
This role is ideal for a technically inclined professional who enjoys working at the intersection of customer service and technical support. The position plays a key role in ensuring smooth communication between customers and service technicians while delivering a high standard of service and support.
About the Role
The Service Advisor acts as the technical liaison between customers and the Repairs Department, ensuring that all service-related enquiries, bookings, and workflows are managed efficiently and professionally. This position requires strong product knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple service requests while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Technical knowledge of tools, machinery, and mechanical systems is a strong advantage, particularly within power tools, small machinery, and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Consultation and Service Coordination
The successful candidate will consult with customers regarding service requirements, answer questions related to repairs, service outcomes, and timelines, and ensure accurate booking and scheduling of service appointments.
Technical Liaison and Repairs Support
Responsibilities include consulting with Repairs Technicians to assess necessary repairs and possible alternatives, communicating technical information clearly to customers, and providing advice on available parts, service options, and warranty coverage.
Workflow and Repairs Division Management
The Service Advisor will manage and oversee the Repairs Division workflow, ensuring jobs are scheduled correctly and completed within agreed timelines. This includes calling customers to advise them of progress and arranging pick-up times once repairs are completed.
Customer Relationship Management
Maintaining positive, professional relationships with customers is a key focus of the role, helping to ensure repeat business and long-term customer satisfaction through consistent service delivery.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Senior Certificate (Grade 12)

Strong technical and mechanical aptitude

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Excellent customer communication skills

Willingness to work retail trading hours, including Saturdays

High level of motivation and attention to detail
