Professional Armed Security Role Based in Johannesburg
Fidelity Services Group, through its Fidelity Security Services division, is currently recruiting for a Tactical Security Officer based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. This is a permanent position suited to a disciplined, highly alert, and experienced security professional who is committed to delivering exceptional protection services in estate and residential environments.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all site-specific security requirements are strictly adhered to, while meeting client needs efficiently, professionally, and at the highest operational standards.
About the Role
The Tactical Security Officer is responsible for safeguarding assigned sites, responding to incidents, and maintaining visible and effective security coverage. This role requires a strong operational mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform under pressure while following established security protocols.
This position is ideal for experienced armed response or tactical officers with residential or estate security experience and a strong understanding of on-site security operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Security Duties

Conduct regular patrols to ensure site safety and visibility.

Safeguard people, property, and assets within the assigned area.

Control access at entrances and exits in line with site procedures.

Respond promptly and effectively to alarms and security incidents.

Perform standard duties as per training and company protocols.

Maintain a professional security presence at all times.
Reporting and Compliance

Complete all relevant security registers accurately.

Compile detailed incident and occurrence reports.

Ensure compliance with site-specific security requirements.

Follow instructions accurately from supervisors and control rooms.

Adhere to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Communication and Professional Conduct

Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, colleagues, and management.

Demonstrate the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.

Act responsibly and ethically while representing Fidelity Services Group.

Support teamwork and coordinated response efforts when required.
Minimum Requirements

Matric certificate.
-
Grade A PSIRA accreditation with active registration, including Response.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the security industry.

Valid Code 8 or Code 10 driver’s licence.

Firearm competency for business purposes: Handgun, Shotgun, and Rifle.

Proven estate or residential security experience.

Must reside within the Johannesburg area.

No criminal record and willingness to undergo regular criminal checks.

Physically fit and in good health.

Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
