About the Role

The Sales Representative: New Vehicles is responsible for selling new vehicles by building strong customer relationships, presenting vehicle features and benefits, and closing sales that meet monthly and quarterly targets.

This role requires a proactive sales approach, strong product knowledge, and the ability to guide customers through the full sales journey — from first contact to post-sale follow-up — while delivering an exceptional customer experience aligned with Motus standards.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement and Sales Development

  • Develop and manage sales leads through effective prospecting and follow-up.

  • Convert enquiries and prospects into vehicle sales.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.

  • Deliver a professional, customer-focused sales experience at all times.

Vehicle Demonstration and Sales Execution

  • Conduct vehicle demonstrations and test drives.

  • Clearly explain vehicle features, specifications, and benefits.

  • Negotiate pricing and sales terms within approved dealership guidelines.

  • Close sales in line with dealership targets and performance expectations.

Sales Administration and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate customer records and sales documentation.

  • Update CRM systems and sales tracking tools consistently.

  • Ensure compliance with company sales policies and procedures.

  • Prepare and submit required sales reports timeously.

After-Sales and Relationship Management

  • Follow up with customers after vehicle delivery to ensure satisfaction.

  • Encourage repeat business and customer referrals.

  • Maintain ongoing engagement to support long-term customer loyalty.

Product and Industry Knowledge

  • Stay up to date with new vehicle models, features, and promotions.

  • Keep informed of automotive market trends and competitor offerings.

  • Represent the Motus Isuzu brand professionally at all times.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification.

  • Proven sales experience in the automotive industry will be an advantage.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a target-driven, fast-paced sales environment.

  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.
