Empact Group is seeking a dynamic Technology Solutions Manager to spearhead our end-to-end technology strategy in Sandton. As part of our Integrated Facilities Management Solutions division, you will be the architect of our digital roadmap, integrating cutting-edge tools like IoT, AI, and automation into high-performance environments. Role Purpose

The Technology Solutions Manager is a pivotal role dedicated to the planning, implementation, and optimization of all digital tools across the FM portfolio. You will oversee the integration of CAFM/IWMS platforms, BMS systems, and IoT solutions to elevate service delivery and drive data-led decision-making. Your mission is to enhance operational efficiency and shape the future of smart buildings for our diverse client base.

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Strategy, Innovation & Digital Transformation

  • Roadmap Development: Execute a comprehensive FM technology roadmap, incorporating CAFM, IoT, mobility tools, and automated dashboards.

  • Modernization: Identify technology gaps and recommend modern, cost-effective solutions to keep Empact Group ahead of global FM trends.

  • Advanced Tech: Leverage AI, IoT, and automation to transition from reactive to predictive maintenance models.

2. Systems Implementation & Integration

  • Platform Management: Lead the deployment and optimization of CAFM/CMMS platforms and mobile workforce applications.

  • Smart Building Integration: Oversee the seamless connection between IoT sensors, BMS (Building Management Systems), and asset tracking tools.

  • Lifecycle Management: Manage system upgrades, migrations, testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

3. Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

  • Performance Dashboards: Develop and manage high-level dashboards for SLA tracking, KPI monitoring, and energy consumption.

  • Data-Led Insights: Analyze system data to provide actionable insights for operational improvements and sustainability initiatives.

  • Integrity: Ensure absolute data accuracy and compliance with global reporting standards.

4. Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Client Engagement: Partner with clients to understand their unique digital needs and deliver tailored smart-building solutions.

  • Procurement: Lead RFP development, vendor evaluations, and the management of technology service providers.

  • Support: Provide cross-functional support to Finance, Operations, SHEQ, and HR teams.

5. Governance, Security & Training

  • Compliance: Ensure all systems adhere to IT governance, cybersecurity standards, and data privacy regulations (POPIA/GDPR).

  • Change Management: Design training programs to drive user adoption and provide technical troubleshooting support.

  • Documentation: Maintain rigorous SOPs, system documentation, and digital asset registers.

Education and Experience Required

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma: Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial), or Facilities Management with a strong IT focus (NQF Level 6 or higher).

Professional Experience

  • FM Tech Expertise: 3–5+ years’ experience in FM technology, IT service delivery, or digital system implementation.

  • Platform Mastery: Essential experience with CAFM/CMMS/IWMS platforms.

  • Analytics: Strong exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead large-scale technology deployments and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to stay ahead of global FM tech trends and translate them into operational success.

  • Technical Support: Strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for user training and development.
