Role Purpose
The Retail Branch Manager is responsible for the total operational and financial success of the Kimberley branch. This role requires a balance of technical expertise in DIY and machinery with high-level retail management skills. You will lead a dedicated team to meet ambitious financial targets while ensuring that branch procedures, stock control, and customer service standards are maintained at an elite level.
Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities
1. Strategic Sales & Financial Management

Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement localized sales strategies to meet and exceed branch financial targets.

Budgetary Control: Manage the branch budget, control operational expenses, and monitor inventory levels to ensure maximum profitability.

Market Analysis: Analyze sales reports and local market trends to forecast future stock needs and identify new growth opportunities within the Northern Cape region.
2. Operational Excellence & Stock Control

Stock Management: Oversee rigorous stock control processes to minimize shrinkage and ensure the greatest range of products is always available for customers.

Branch Procedures: Ensure the branch operates in strict accordance with company retail procedures, including opening/closing protocols and cash management.

Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment that showcases Adendorff’s extensive range of tools and machinery.
3. Team Leadership & Talent Development

Staff Management: Lead and motivate the Kimberley team, fostering a culture of honesty, reliability, and high performance.

Training: Facilitate Organizational Development by identifying training needs to ensure staff are well-rounded in all aspects of the business.

Team Synergy: Act as a confident team player while handling all administrative and managerial duties required of a Mid-Senior leader.
4. Customer Service & Technical Support

Relationship Building: Provide consistent, professional service to build long-term relationships with DIY enthusiasts, contractors, and engineering firms.

Technical Guidance: Leverage your technical knowledge of tools and machinery to provide expert advice and solutions to customer queries.
Requirements & Desired Skills
Education & Experience

Minimum Requirement: A Senior Certificate (Grade 12).

Experience: Mid-Senior experience in Management is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with exposure to the Automotive, Engineering, Tools and Machinery, or Hardware environments.

Retail Knowledge: Proven experience in Retail Branch Procedures is an added benefit.

Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
