Job Summary

The Armed Response Officer is responsible for responding to alarm activations, patrolling designated residential and estate sectors, and providing emergency assistance to clients. Operating in a high-stakes environment, you will be required to maintain maximum visibility to deter criminal activity and execute tactical interventions when necessary. Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities

1. Tactical Response & Patrolling

• Rapid Response: Respond immediately to alarm signals and emergency calls from the control room within the Rustenburg sector.

• Proactive Patrolling: Maintain high visibility through constant patrolling of residential estates and assigned zones to deter potential threats.

• Site Inspections: Conduct thorough perimeter checks and inspections of client premises following an activation.

2. Estate & Residential Security

• Specialized Experience: Utilize previous estate/residential security experience to manage access points and maintain the safety of high-density living environments.

• Incident Management: Handle security breaches, medical emergencies, or suspicious activities with professional composure and tactical precision.

3. Compliance & Equipment Maintenance

• Firearm Safety: Maintain strict control and safe handling of your company-issued firearm in accordance with the Firearms Control Act.

• Health & Fitness: Maintain a high level of physical fitness and health; the role involves physical activity and requires that you are not afraid of heights.

• Reporting: Complete accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with the control room via radio.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this role in Rustenburg, candidates must meet the following mandatory criteria:

• Education: Matric (Grade 12) certificate is essential.

• PSIRA Registration: Must be Grade B PSIRA accredited and registered with the Armed Response module.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the security industry, with specific experience in estate or residential security.

• Firearm Competency: Valid Firearm Competency for Handgun (Business Purposes) is non-negotiable.

• Licensing: Must possess a valid Driver’s License.

• Integrity: No criminal record; candidates must be willing to undergo regular criminal background checks.
