Main Purpose of the Job
The Armed Response Supervisor is responsible for the strategic deployment and tactical management of armed response vehicles within a designated sector. You will oversee the operational functioning of your shift, ensuring that all officers are deployed effectively to minimize response times. Additionally, you will provide senior-level support during alarm activations, emergency call-outs, and high-risk incidents.
Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities
1. Tactical Deployment & Supervision

Fleet Management: Manage the real-time deployment of armed response vehicles to ensure maximum coverage across Bloemfontein.

Shift Leadership: Oversee the operational functioning of the shift, ensuring all officers adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Incident Response: Assist with and provide tactical guidance during complex alarm activations and emergency situations.
2. Operational Compliance

Safety & Standards: Ensure that all armed response officers maintain their equipment, vehicles, and firearms according to company and legislative standards.

Performance Monitoring: Review response times and officer conduct to maintain the high service standards associated with the Fidelity ADT brand.

Reporting: Document all shift activities, incidents, and vehicle statuses for submission to the Operations Manager.
3. Risk Management

Conflict Resolution: Handle escalated field incidents and provide support to officers in high-pressure environments.

Firearm Safety: Monitor and enforce strict firearm safety protocols and ensure all officers on shift hold valid competencies.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this entry-level supervisory role, candidates must meet the following mandatory requirements:

Education: Matric (Grade 12).

Registration: Must be PSIRA Registered Grade B with an Armed Response module.

Licensing: A valid Driver’s License (held for a minimum of 2 years).

Competency: A valid Firearm Competency certificate specifically for Business Purposes.

Integrity: A completely clear Criminal Record is non-negotiable.
