Job Summary
The Data & Systems Administrator is responsible for the continuous support, maintenance, and improvement of EUM’s core systems. The role balances technical troubleshooting with rigorous data management, ensuring that all systems operate reliably for both staff and clients. A primary focus is the end-to-end month-end process, which includes high-stakes data submissions to insurers and the preparation of financial data for invoicing.
Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities
1. System Support & Administration

Technical Assistance: Provide direct support and training to internal staff and external customers on system functionality.

System Improvements: Collaborate with the broader IT team to plan and execute strategic system enhancements.

User Management: Oversee the setup of new users and manage system permissions and configurations.
2. Data Integrity & Analysis

Error Resolution: Perform regular data comparisons, investigate discrepancies, and resolve complex error reports to maintain database health.

Process Mapping: Analyze data flows to identify areas for automation or optimization.

Reporting: Export and distribute critical data to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
3. Month-End & Financial Integration

Insurer Submissions: Manage the submission of accurate data to insurers within strict deadlines.

Finance Liaison: Prepare and verify data for submission to the Finance department for invoicing purposes.

Query Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving any queries related to insurer data submissions.
Qualification and Skills Requirements
To be considered for this technical role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Education: Matric / Grade 12. An NQF 5 qualification is highly advantageous.

Experience: Proven experience as a System Administrator, Data Analyst, or in a similar technical role within the insurance or financial services sector.

Technical Certifications: Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are considered a strong advantage.

Software Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including advanced functions, VLOOKUPs, and pivot tables) for in-depth data analysis.
