Position Overview
The Data Controller – Support Office (Merchandise) is responsible for data interpretation, processing, and maintenance on the company’s ERP platform. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in handling merchandise-related data while supporting the Data Manager and the wider merchandising team.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret, check, and input approved information into the ERP system.
- Assist the Data Manager with scheduled audits to maintain accurate product files.
- Conduct data projects related to product information and ensure completeness.
- Identify and report errors or unusual observations.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of data records.
- Support Buyers by collating necessary information for merchandise planning.
- Uphold and promote company values, standards, and culture.
Job Requirements
- Education: Grade 12. Relevant certificate advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in a data processing or ERP environment.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
- Proficient in ERP systems and basic computer applications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Effective communication and collaboration with team members.
