Position Overview
The MVG Host / Hostess is the frontline customer service point for the Sun MVG Loyalty Programme. This role is responsible for providing exceptional service to Sun MVG members and guests, ensuring adherence to company standards, gaming regulations, and loyalty programme operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service Preparation:
- Prepare workstations and check operating equipment prior to shifts.
- Restock marketing collateral, brochures, and cards at the MVG desk.
- Conduct handovers with previous/next shifts.
- Loyalty Programme Administration:
- Promote the Sun MVG Loyalty Programme and explain benefits to guests.
- Capture sign-up data and issue loyalty cards.
- Validate customer data and process points, redemptions, and reward vouchers.
- Assist in selling non-MVG player cards and conduct collateral audits.
- Creating Customer Experiences:
- Greet guests warmly, acknowledge arrival and departure, and provide professional service.
- Educate customers on facilities, products, promotions, and leverage upselling opportunities.
- Handle customer complaints and requests, escalating when necessary.
- Problem Solving:
- Interpret customer requirements and make decisions within defined procedures.
- Take ownership of guest queries and ensure compliance with internal policies and controls.
Job Requirements
- Education: Grade 12 with Maths Literacy.
- Experience: 2β4 years in a customer-facing role.
- Licensing: Must meet all requirements for a gaming license.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of gaming products, loyalty programme operations, and responsible gambling principles.
- Problem-solving, attention to detail, conflict handling, emotional resilience.
- Proficient in MS Office; typing skills. Experience with SVC / Opera PMS / EGS / Promo Exec is an advantage.
- Work Conditions:
- Ability to work shifts that meet operational requirements.
- Work in a smoking environment.
- Physical mobility to move as required.
