Job Description

This role requires a combination of technical mastery, clinical insight, and professional leadership. As a Consultant in Haematology, your responsibilities include interpreting complex haematology results, performing bone marrow procedures for adult and paediatric patients, and providing in-depth diagnostic consultations. Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • MBChB degree

  • Specialist qualification in Haematology such as M.Med (Haematology) or FC Path (Haem) SA

  • Current or pending registration with the HPCSA as a specialist in Haematology

These qualifications ensure that you are fully prepared to manage complex haematology cases, lead laboratory operations, and consult effectively with medical professionals. Your experience should include interpreting critical results, managing laboratory quality systems, and contributing to academic or clinical discussions within the field.
