Job Description
The Branch Admin Officer position at Ampath is essential to the seamless functioning of our Ferncrest branch. You will be responsible for managing patient request forms, capturing data into Ampath systems, and supporting specimen processing with meticulous attention to detail. Your work ensures that laboratory operations run efficiently, that patient records are accurate, and that healthcare providers receive timely, dependable support.
Daily responsibilities include data capturing, validating patient documentation, checking forms for completeness, coordinating with phlebotomists and lab staff, and assisting with general branch administration. You will be the first point of contact for patients and staff in the branch, setting the tone for a professional and welcoming experience. Accuracy, attention to detail, and efficiency are critical in this role, as your work directly impacts the quality of patient care and laboratory performance.

Skills Requirements
The successful candidate should have:
- 1–4 years of experience in data capturing or administrative roles, preferably within a medical or healthcare environment
- Familiarity with clinical documentation and patient data management
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Competence in computer systems, Microsoft Office, and administrative software
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and healthcare professionals
- Reliability, accuracy, and a commitment to operational excellence
