Job Description

The Phlebotomist position at Ampath involves the skilled collection of blood and non-blood specimens, following strict quality and safety protocols. To qualify for this position, you must have:

  • A recognised qualification in Phlebotomy or Nursing
  • Current registration with the HPCSA or SANC, depending on your qualification

These requirements ensure that you have the necessary theoretical medical knowledge, ethical understanding, and regulatory compliance to perform safe, standardised phlebotomy procedures. Registration with the appropriate council is essential for maintaining professional standards and ensuring accountability in patient care.
