About the Organization
The South African Police Service (SAPS) Forensic Science Laboratory is a key division in supporting criminal investigations through expert forensic analysis. The laboratory ensures compliance with quality standards while providing accurate and timely forensic results to investigative teams across the country.
Position Overview
The Administration Clerk will perform core administrative and case management functions within the Case Management Sub-Section. This role involves receiving, registering, dispatching, and archiving cases, as well as providing client service and supporting analysts in daily forensic operations.
Key Responsibilities

Perform case reception and registration duties.

Allocate cases to analysts according to quality standards.

Receive exhibits/dockets from analysts and perform all related functions.

Provide client service, including communication and case enquiries.

Scan and dispatch reports and analysed exhibits to Investigating Officers.

Manage sample receipt at storage areas and offsite archiving.

Ensure compliance with Quality Management and Health and Safety standards.

Perform administrative functions related to forensic case management.
Minimum Requirements

Education: Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) at NQF Level 4.

Computer literacy.

Interpersonal communication (verbal and written).

Organizational and planning skills.
