REQUIREMENTS:
-
Undergraduate qualification in Public Management, Public Administration, Operations, Business Management, Management, Administration, Law, or Social Science (NQF Level 6, SAQA recognized)
-
3 years’ experience as a Supervisor in Operations in a client/customer services environment
-
Experience in Civic or Immigration Operations is an added advantage
-
Knowledge of South African Constitution, public service frameworks, Government structures
-
Project management, digital systems, workflow and capacity planning knowledge
-
Understanding of National Treasury Regulations, PFMA, HR frameworks, OHSA
-
Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles, Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS), PAJA, PAIA
-
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel/work extended hours

DUTIES:

Manage overall operations and performance of the Local Office
-
Advise on departmental operations at the Local Office level
-
Oversee enabling documents related to citizenship, births, marriages, deaths, travel documents, and passports

Ensure delivery against Government’s Programme of Action (POA) mandates
-
Oversee Local Office Immigration Inspectorate activities
-
Foster partnerships and represent the Office at forums
-
Implement strategic objectives and digital transformation initiatives
-
Monitor operational plans, governance processes, and manage risks
-
Manage human, physical, and financial resources effectively
-
Coach and guide staff on regulatory compliance
