Position Overview

The Client Service Officer: Quality Assurance ensures operational and service excellence across Labour Centres and satellite offices. This role involves monitoring, verifying, and maintaining quality standards in client service delivery, UIF applications, and administrative processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide screening services to clients.

  • Process UIF benefit applications and register payment continuation forms.

  • Perform administrative and operational functions in accordance with departmental procedures.

  • Monitor compliance with Batho Pele Principles, UIF, and departmental policies.

  • Support quality assurance initiatives to maintain accurate records and reports.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Senior Certificate

  • No experience required

Knowledge:

  • Unemployment Insurance Act and Regulations

  • Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act

  • Public Financial Management Act (PFMA)

  • Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)

  • Department of Labour and UIF Policies and Procedures

  • Treasury Regulations, UIF Vision, Mission, and Values

  • Batho Pele Principles

Skills:

  • Interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Telephone etiquette and interviewing

  • Computer literacy and report writing

  • Communication (verbal and written)

  • Listening and interpretation (UI Act & Contribution Act)

  • Conflict management and time management

  • Analytical thinking and ability to follow operational systems
