Position Overview
The Employment Service Practitioner plays a critical role in connecting work seekers with employment opportunities and supporting labour market programmes. This role requires hands-on involvement in stakeholder engagement, recruitment, and the administration of employment services.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Public Employment Services (PES) to stakeholders and acquire opportunities for placement of registered work seekers.
- Conduct recruitment, selection, referral, and placement of work seekers.
- Process requests for International Cross Border Labour Migration (ICBLM) and advise on skills availability.
- Handle applications for registration of Public Employment Agencies (PEA) and Temporary Employment Schemes (TES).
- Supervise the registration and referral of work seekers within the department.
- Monitor implementation of Employment Schemes, Labour Activation Programmes (LAP), and Temporary Relief Schemes.
- Oversee employer service administration at the Labour Centre.
Minimum Requirements
- Three (3) year qualification in Social Science (Psychology, Industrial Psychology), Public Administration, Business Management, or Public Management.
- Two (2) years functional experience in a client-oriented environment.
- Valid driverโs license.
Knowledge:
- Employment Service Act, Unemployment Insurance Act, Public Service Act, Immigration Act.
Skills:
- Planning and organising, communication, computer literacy, analytical thinking, presentation, interpersonal skills, report writing, leadership, networking, negotiation, and marketing.
Core Competencies
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- Ability to implement labour programmes efficiently.
- Excellent supervisory and administrative skills.
- Client-focused with attention to detail.
