Position Overview
The Handyman position is responsible for performing general maintenance, basic repairs, and upkeep of military health buildings, equipment, and surrounding terrain. This role is suitable for individuals with entry-level experience who are reliable, physically capable, and committed to supporting public-sector infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine unit and facility inspections to identify maintenance needs.

Perform minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.

Maintain office furniture, fixtures, and essential facility equipment.

Safeguard all maintenance tools, equipment, and consumables.

Repair broken furniture and small equipment items.
-
Load and unload materials, supplies, and refuse as needed.
-
Remove refuse from the unit’s terrain and transport waste to dumps or designated burning areas.

Maintain overall cleanliness and neatness of internal and external working areas.

Report defects or maintenance concerns promptly to supervisors.
Minimum Requirements

ABET Level 4 qualification.

0–6 months relevant experience in general maintenance or handyman work.

Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal).

Basic understanding of occupational health and safety.

Knowledge of tools, equipment, and basic repair techniques.

Good interpersonal skills, reliability, and strict punctuality.
