As part of the AFGRI Group, the Equipment division is known for its excellence in after-sales service, tailored solutions, and reliable product support. The Vryheid dealership is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Parts Manager to lead parts operations, support customers, and ensure optimal profitability.


Position Overview

The Parts Manager will oversee day-to-day parts operations within the dealership to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction. This role focuses on efficient inventory management, sales growth, supplier coordination, expense control, and maintaining high operational standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with strong agricultural equipment knowledge—especially in John Deere systems—to join a reputable, established organisation in the agricultural sector.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily parts operations and ensure excellent customer service.

  • Manage stocktaking, stock counting, and inventory accuracy.

  • Handle stock returns, claims, and warranty follow-ups.

  • Order AMS and parts stock, maintaining optimal stock levels.

  • Implement and monitor an accurate parts inventory control system.

  • Maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, ensuring all queries are resolved promptly.

  • Monitor monthly sales, income, and expense trends; report deviations and apply corrective actions.

  • Manage employee KPAs, performance standards, coaching, and training needs.

  • Ensure compliance with AFGRI’s Health & Safety Policy and legislative requirements.

  • Implement and manage a risk management plan for the Parts Department.


Minimum Requirements

Education & Training

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

Experience

  • 5 years relevant experience in parts operations

  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience

  • John Deere parts experience will be an advantage


Technical Skills

  • Strong computer literacy (MS Office)

  • Solid product knowledge (agricultural equipment)

  • Excellent stock control knowledge

  • Sales and customer service orientation

  • Basic financial skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Analytical problem-solving ability
