FlySafair is now recruiting a Training Scheduler to join its team at the Johannesburg office.
Position Overview
The Training Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring that all Flight Deck and Cabin Crew members are effectively scheduled for training, evaluations, medicals, and operational requirements. This role requires meticulous planning, strong regulatory awareness, and the ability to adapt quickly to schedule changes while maintaining compliance with aviation standards.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a comprehensive training plan and schedule for Flight Deck crew.

Ensure all training rosters and schedules comply with CAA, IOSA, and internal regulatory requirements.

Identify scheduling or operational challenges and collaborate with the relevant manager or Training Administrator to resolve issues.

Roster employees for all required training, including:

Ground training
-
Simulator sessions
-
Initial and recurrent training
-
Command evaluations
-

Schedule annual medical examinations for both Flight Deck and Cabin Crew.

Book simulator slots for all required training sessions.

Allocate crew for Line Training, Route Checks, Induction, and Supernumerary flights.

Adjust training schedules when necessary, guaranteeing adherence to regulatory and company policies.

Arrange travel logistics, including hotel accommodation and transport, for trainees when required.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
-
Tertiary qualification in Administration (Advantageous)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the airline industry, including at least 1 year in a planning or scheduling role (Essential)

Strong understanding of aviation industry operations

Knowledge of rostering systems

Knowledge of CAA and IOSA requirements

Experience with scheduling tools

Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Strong planning and organisational skills
