The dealership is seeking a committed and technically skilled Supervisor: Foreman to join the Service Department.


Position Overview

Reporting to the Service Manager, the Supervisor: Foreman will lead and support technical staff, provide accurate vehicle diagnostics, and ensure all repairs and services are executed according to Toyota’s strict quality standards. The role requires hands-on guidance, strong leadership, and a commitment to customer satisfaction and workshop performance.


Key Responsibilities

1. Workshop & Team Supervision

  • Distribute daily workload and ensure timely completion of tasks.

  • Monitor all work performed in the workshop.

  • Control staff timekeeping and productivity.

  • Maintain a high-quality standard for all services and repairs.

  • Supervise staff with motivation, guidance, and corrective discipline when required.

  • Ensure the workshop environment is productive, efficient, and compliant with Toyota standards.

2. Vehicle Diagnostics & Technical Support

  • Accurately diagnose vehicle problems and support technicians with complex repairs.

  • Assist with technical queries and mechanical troubleshooting.

  • Analyse comeback repairs to identify areas of improvement.

  • Conduct test drives to ensure repair quality and customer satisfaction.

3. Customer Relations & Service Quality

  • Assist Service Advisors with customer reception and repair explanations.

  • Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.

  • Ensure consistent high-quality workmanship to support brand loyalty.

4. Administration, Safety & Compliance

  • Attend to warranty claims and ensure accurate processing.

  • Maintain excellent housekeeping within the workshop.

  • Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Enforce workshop policies and operational procedures.

  • Prepare repair quotations and assist in admin and control tasks.

  • Step in for the Manager when required.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).

  • Qualified Motor Mechanic with relevant accreditation.

  • Valid South African driver’s license.

  • Clear criminal record.

  • Toyota dealership experience is essential.

  • Strong Technical Diagnostic Skills.

  • Leadership, time management, and staff supervision experience.
