Position Overview
The Cleaner: Supervisor is responsible for supervising cleaning operations within the Centre, ensuring hygienic and safe environments. This role involves managing staff, monitoring equipment, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and compliance with OHSA regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise cleaning staff and oversee daily cleaning operations.

Inspect physical environments to ensure hygiene and cleanliness standards are met.

Monitor the availability and condition of cleaning equipment.

Control inventory and manage the issuance of cleaning materials and equipment.

Order and receive cleaning supplies as required.
-
Compile cleaning reports and draft cleaning schedules for various buildings.
-
Liaise with seniors regarding problem situations and operational challenges.
-
Manage leave and discipline of cleaning personnel under supervision.
-
Ensure staff performance is monitored according to PMDS (Performance Management and Development System).

Implement and enforce Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations.
Minimum Requirements
-
ABET Level 4 or equivalent.
-
Minimum of 3 yearsβ experience in a cleaning services environment.

Knowledge of types and purpose of cleaning materials and operating cleaning equipment.

Understanding of OHSA requirements.

Ability to manage and supervise a large staff component.

Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
