Position Overview
The Administration Clerk: Production provides clerical and administrative support to the Directorate at SA Army Headquarters. This role is vital for maintaining accurate records, facilitating communication, and supporting day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities

Perform general clerical duties and update registers and statistics.

Handle routine enquiries and maintain efficient filing systems.

Photocopy, receive, and send facsimiles as required.
-
Distribute documents and packages to internal and external stakeholders daily.

Deliver and collect documents within and around HQ premises.

Type letters, reports, and other correspondence when required.
-
Maintain incoming and outgoing registers of the Directorate.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding procurement of goods and services.

Obtain quotations and complete requirement forms for standard office equipment.
-
Conduct monthly equipment control to ensure effective logistical support.
-
Update inventory and perform annual, quarterly, and biannual stocktaking.
-
Manage safekeeping of equipment and stores.
-
Attend weekly coordination and communication meetings.
-
Control office stationery and maintain leave and attendance registers.
-
Maintain personnel records for the Directorate.

Arrange travel and accommodation and verify travel claims for management approval.

Handle telephone accounts and petty cash management.
Minimum Requirements
-
Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
-
No previous experience required.

Knowledge of clerical duties and data capturing.

Good communication skills (written and verbal).

Strong organisational and coordinating skills.

Computer literate (MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Professional telephone etiquette.

Creative, innovative, and able to interact effectively at all levels.
