Position Overview
The Team Leader – Mbazwana Life Office is a critical role within the sales division. The incumbent will manage, develop, and lead a team of Financial Associates, ensuring that sales targets are met while maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation.
This role is ideal for individuals who are highly motivated, resilient, and possess strong knowledge of insurance sales, marketing, and leadership. You will be responsible for guiding your team to achieve business objectives and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
The Team Leader will be responsible for:

Recruiting high-quality insurance representatives accurately and within deadlines.

Ensuring that newly appointed representatives are adequately trained and prepared for their roles.

Managing and mentoring a team of Financial Associates to achieve sales targets and business objectives.

Monitoring compliance with FAIS, FICA, LTIA, and all relevant legislation.

Risk management within the office and sales operations.
-
Developing and expanding new and existing markets to grow the business.
-
Driving performance excellence and continuous professional development within the team.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
-
Grade 12 certificate.
-
A suitable industry entry qualification in line with the Financial Services Board requirements.

Compliance with FAIS legislation for registration as a Fit and Proper individual:
-
Entry between 2004–2007: 30 credits on NQF 4 by 31 December 2009.
-
Entry between 2008–2009: 30 or 60 credits on NQF 4 by 31 December 2011 or full FAIS-recognised qualification by 31 December 2013.

Entry from 2010 onwards: full FAIS-recognised qualification.

Clear ITC and criminal record.

RE5 certificate mandatory; RE1 certificate will be advantageous.

Valid driver’s license, own reliable transport, and cell phone.
