About the Position
The Administration Officer: Asset Management will oversee the proper management and control of organizational assets. This role is essential for ensuring accurate asset records, compliance with legislation, and financial accountability. Ideal candidates have strong accounting, asset management, and administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities

Record and maintain new assets in the asset register, ensuring proper capitalization and barcoding.

Conduct physical verification and spot-checks of assets, reconciling with the asset register.

Manage asset transfers between organizational units.

Ensure asset register accuracy and data integrity.

Oversee asset disposals in compliance with organizational policies.

Compile detailed asset reports, including monthly verification and tracking reports.

Ensure all activities comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
-
Three-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma or Degree) in Accounting, Asset Management, or equivalent (NQF Level 6 or higher).

Minimum 2 yearsβ relevant financial/asset management experience.
Skills and Competencies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Computer literacy in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of LOGIS, BAS, and Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA).

Ability to work under pressure, demonstrate responsibility, and maintain loyalty.
