About the Position
The Communications Officer: Media Liaison and Monitoring is a key role in supporting government communications, media engagement, and public relations strategies. This position is ideal for professionals with expertise in journalism, media relations, and social media management, seeking high-paying administrative and communication roles within the public sector.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily media monitoring and analysis, producing accurate and timely reports.

Draft and distribute press releases to media outlets.

Write articles for departmental publications and social media platforms.

Compile media coverage reports after campaigns and events.

Organize media interviews and liaise with journalists and media houses.

Maintain and update the media attendance register and media database.

Implement and execute media plans for campaigns and events.

Facilitate monthly editorial meetings.

Increase engagement across social media platforms.
Minimum Requirements

National Diploma/Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or an equivalent SAQA-recognized qualification.

Minimum 1β2 yearsβ relevant work experience.

Valid driverβs license.
