Position Overview

The Department invites unemployed graduates to apply for the Employer Audit Service Internship 2025–2027. This 24-month internship provides hands-on experience in auditing, compliance inspections, and administrative support within government services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring compliance with UIA, COIDA, and UICA.
  • Conduct inspections to assess employer compliance levels.
  • Support investigations on complaints related to contraventions of UIA, COIDA, and UICA.
  • Provide administrative support to inspectors.
  • Compile and consolidate reports from inspections and investigations.

Minimum Requirements

  • South African citizenship.
  • Must be unemployed graduates who have not participated in prior internship programmes.
  • Qualifications: National Diploma (NQF Level 6, 360 credits) or Bachelor Degree (NQF Level 7, 480 credits) in:
    • BCom Law / LLB / Labour Law
    • BCom Accounting / Internal Audit / Auditing / Financial Accounting
    • Cost and Management Accounting / Financial Information Systems
    • BCompt. Accounting / Financial Management
  • All foreign qualifications must be evaluated by SAQA.
  • Willingness to relocate if internship is outside applicant’s area of residence.
